    No, she's pretty straight forward.

I think that picture comes from a mosaic (looted) from the Hagia Sophia.
Quick Question... How do you get those specialized radar map backgrounds? Because I want to insert a map from the Barbarians II for my radar map background (but with different faction colors and all that)

Which picture are you referring to?

Could you elaborate this question a little further, cause I'm not sure I understand...

First of all, who are "they"? Then I must say I'm trying really hard to understand what it is you don't understand? Like we have explained: it's a Christian decoration. It could have been a lamb, a grown Jesus, a baby Jesus, Three wise men, a fish etc, but I opted for Mary - what's the big mystery?

    The new photos look lovely.

No, but seriously, it's good to finally see the multi-ethnic nature of Rome expressed in character portraits.

    1. the virgin mary next to the recruiting symbol
    2. the radar map on the bottom left hand corner. There is a new unique map rather than the normal RTW map.

Ah, I don't remember exactly where I found here, but I believe that it's a painting actually, and not a mosaic, but I could be wrong.

OK, well, that map has been with us a long, long time. Originally, I think it's the old RTR map that's been worked over by our team members.

Perhaps Gäiten knows more about this?

    @ Bernardius

    Thank you.

Agree with that. One thing that always bother me was that the faces are all white and the hair latin. They tended to forget that Africans, Egyptians, Jews, Armenians, Persians even Indians are possible to be part of the Empire. Also several people blond and redhead also probably existed due to marriages or even rapes that occur particulary in some border regions.

Oblivion? I've never played that one but I love Morrowind!!! The Imperial culture in Morrowind is actually modeled off of Ancient Rome between 0 AD and 200 AD

If someone made a Roman total conversion for Obivion I would be so happy.

I for one am salivating! This has been my favorite mode for a loooong time (other than my personal one I made for the RTW timeframe). It's alot of work, and I will not be one to press you for "when", as I know what is involved. Good luck, and keep up the good work!

This looks great, I'm surprised I didn't run across it sooner!

Just one question; any chance we'll see a more complex pagan religious system this time around? i.e., more diverse and numerous types of temples? Sol Invictus and Mithras get old after a while...
