Imperial or Historical?
I'm pretty new to DLV, but ever since I first tried it a few weeks ago I've been absolutely hooked.
Seriously, vanilla m2tw is completely unrecognizable at this point. I can't thank the creator/contributors enough.
I was wondering what type of campaign you guys prefer. I have 2 copies on my computer: one regular (6.3beta) and one 6.2 with Battlefield Balance 2.7. I prefer historical when playing the "clean" 6.3beta, but I'm not sure which is preferred when it comes to BB 2.7. (it's harder IMO, and I can't get as far in the game usually)
Both "clean" and BB 2.7 are excellent in their own ways, I just want to get the maximum amount of "quality" in each version.

Oh, and if I could make 1 request: If you do play BB 2.7, please mention it in your reply. I'm pretty much decided when it comes to "clean", but it's the BB2.7 I'm pretty clueless about.

Re: Imperial or Historical?
For BB I can recommend the DLV campaign.
I can't recommend the History campaign with full confidence because I don't really design for it.
I've put a hell of a lot of work into balancing the faction starting situations and troops availability with the DLV campaign in mind.
But having said that, I know that some people who enjoy my mod only play the history campaign.
And if anything balancing for the DLV campaign is more extreme than balancing for the history campaign. If I balanced for the History campaign I am more likely to cause problems for the DLV campaign than if I work the other way around.
The main reason I have for feeling that the DLV campaign deserves more effort is that the replayability factor is huge when compared with the history campaign. By the time the player hits 40 turns, the world is something new.
It used to be a major factor that large factions were so easy they were unplayable, so I ignored the History campaign thinking it was for noobs that want to start developed. But I changed that. Large factions can be a severe liability now, and the ideal should be to border as few factions as possible. So I can imagine that the History campaign would be much improved by my recent work in terms of large factions offering no challenge.
