Hey! There is no balrog in moria!

I'm on forgotten realms of middle earth and in hotseat I attacked with elves of lorien moria and lost it with ootm..no balrog spawned..why?



Oh and where can I see a list of the main heroes of the game like gondor aragorn, gandalf the white and the balrog?

The Balrog won't spawn if the faction is human controlled.

However, in all of the 1.4 campaigns where I attacked Moria (HE and Dwarves) the Balrog didn't spawn. As HE I did get the message that the last host of Balrogs was resurrected, but the Balrog was nowhere to be found. As the Dwarves I didn't even get the message that he spawned and walked into Khâzad-Dum almost unopposed (except for the full stack of Goblins that was easily cut down by my Erebor Axemen).

Have you used toggle_fow to see if he was anywhere?

I tried to attack Moria with cheat and the Balrog had spawned..But only a troop of balrog and not an hero..Don't say that's all..And the hero? I saw also the balrog attribute, like the nazgul..

The unit of balrogs is the balrog. Theres a minimum number of soldiers (6 i think.) per unit. Thus the team had to create a unit of Balrogs, with some Orc as general.

But why is not possible to create only one Balrog?? We have Aragorn, Gandalf, Legolas...Cant they make ONE Balrog (general style) with a bunch of lousy orcs like his..ehm, ehm...generals "bodyguards"? Having several Balrogs is very strange since there was only one in Middle earth this time. It is totally anti-lore. I would vote to remove this unit, but it is so well made (eye candy like hell) then I would be sad without him...or them.

Because the size of the general unit was always resetted to a normal human one, which looked quite weird I assume.

I had saw in the hero portrait folder the portraits of "Balrog" which where different from the normal balrog..

The Problem is that the general has the same strength as his bodyguard. So giving him a bunch of lousy orcs would make him too weak.

Also there are some hardcoded problems with the general skeleton thing (Or something similiar.) that would cause strange behavior with a general as big as the balrog.

If you attack Moria and you get the message that the Balrog has awoke, look at the units " in " moria and the Balrog has joined them, he is now part of that army at least that is what happened to me

Oh, So no Balrog when playing as Orcs... sad, but it's ok, I guess I could have conquered the whole of middle earth with that unit

You have a Balrog. You just have to build the Mithril Mines and you must have passed turn 80.

But yours costs some thousands upkeep while the AI's is free

And if you have already built the mithril mines before turn 80 you can the balrog.
