Is setting custom keys still bugged?

I never got around to playing ETW because my graphics card was not up to it, and I could not get my custom key setup to stick. Now that I've got a new graphics card I'm thinking about installing it again - is the custom key setup still bugged?

I don't use the regular WASD but a completely different setup that I've used for many years, so I don't want to change just for ETW. But when I had setup the custom keys in my previous installment of the game, they just defaulted back to original keys once I started the campaign. Sometimes they would stick, but then when I relaunched the game they were gone again, very annoying... I'm using Win 7.

I recently tried the Napoleon demo, same problem there...

Thanks irishron, I'm very sorry to hear that...

After trying out the Napoleon demo I got really excited about giving my ETW another try, but without a custom key setup, I'll just be fumbling around and it will mess up my other games (as switching back and forth between different setups for the same movement is confusing).
