games crashes

Hello! I need some help. The game crashes, when I will fight battles.
First everything is fine and I can start a campaign, the campaign map works without any problems, but when it comes to battle, the loading monitor appears, starts to load and then just before finishing it crashes.

I played the game before many month without any problems, I also had installed some mods which worked. So its not my hardware.
Then as I had finished all campaigns I uninstalled the game, that was few month ago. Now as the barbarian invasion addon came out I wanted to play it too, but now the game crashes everytime before it goes to the battle monitor.
All other games are working too, only rometotalwar addon and the normal rometotalwar game doesnt work, please someone help me.Strange that the other totalwar games (medieval- and shoguntotalwar) do work. I tried to reinstall the game several times but everytime with the same results. I dont know whats the problem.

Same here. I strongly belive it's a bug due to BI. I have to save everytime I play a campaign and pray for not crashing the next turn...
Before installing BI, I was able to play for HOURS without problems.... Someone to find out the solution and give the recepie?

As far as me, I've installed a bug fixer v.2.06 for BI (but with some features for RTW) posted by Player 1 (I took it from other forum, but I guess I've seen it here). Check this: http://rtw.heavengames.com/downloads...lwA2V1lxFwUuU=
Things are getting a little better, saving every turn or after an important battle, and deleting autosave file.
I've been able to play for more than 1 hour without any downs
I just had a crash, but I'm sure it was due to technical problems (I've gotta get a better video card, definitively).

what mods did you guys have installed if any?

I think it was called the triumvirat mod, I searched the mod forums for it but didnt find any more.

When i had that problem activision told me there was a problem with my graphics card.. Perhaps that's the problem?

I have a similar problem but only in my Julii campaign which is at 263 BC. I have a Scipii campaign (161 BC) going on the same computer and it works fine, but the Julii campaign will suddenly shut down the game and return to Windows at different points in the game. I have all the latest drivers, etc. DirectX 9.0c, patched to 1.5, etc. As I said it only does it in the Julii campaign. The Scipii game is actually a "save" from a previous install and the Julii game is a clean install. It's really annoying when you shell out all this money for a good computer and then the game has a lot of bugs.

Imperial Glory, Flight Sim 2 & 3, MTW, all play fine.
