Oh My God. Google it, wiki it, it is insane.

Saw the preview a while back, looked stupid.

Boring, need a movie about a dragon that is a helicopter.

Good God... It takes a lot for a movie to make me cringe. I can watch Hostel and Saw without even batting an eyelash, but this...

I have been meaning to see that, if only for the disgustingness of it all.

That's why hats off to everyone behind it, it is actually pretty original concept for a horror movie though one can argue it is simply a take on Frankenstein type horror.

Gotta say though you guys are some horror lightweights if disgusted by this or even the Nekromantik trailer above, saw that when was 19...bored crap out of me pfft! I blame a lifetime of horror movies, novels, comics to my desensitized nature. Japanese gore flicks are still the "worse" in terms of grossness, I can sit thru them eating Italian food...its dull and boring, gore isnt horror, gore is gore, horror is something trying to SCARE you. Id much rather sit back watch marathon of old 50s,60s and early 70s horror including the old Hammer Horror flicks. Yeah they might not be scary to people today but the atmosphere they captured was much better then crap today.

Best horror movie seen in years that is fairly recent is Trick 'r Treat and Let the Right One In. Trick isnt really original but it has fun with itself, throw back to old anthology type horror flicks of multiple mini stories connecting at the end. Let the Right One In is imo Twilight for non emo kids. Euro flick and dubbing is bad and can be slow paced but it gets the job done...and of course its being remade into american version which will probably destroy all the charm and grit of the original since some of the story would be offensive typical american audience.

Ending sequence of Let Right One In is imo one of the best endings of a horror flick You just KNEW it was going to happen but when the head plops down into the pool it still made me smile

There are alot of individual scenes worse then anything in Nekromantik but you can probably pick up a random J-horror movie and find alot worse. Guinea Pig probably being the prime example, I doubt you'll be able to stomach (or want to) anything worse after watching it. Gurotesuku is supposely pretty screwed up as well but havent bothered to watch it. As I said I dont bother with most j-horror anymore cause to me its not really horror, its shock and gore..horror to me should be fear of the unknown, things that go bump in the night now the twisted nature of mankind that we see anytime we pick up a newspaper. Plus with a small kid in the house I really dont want her stumbling across any of this stuff, for me it was fine growing up but I grew up on much tamer reprints of horror comics, HP Lovecraft, King, Barker before graduating on to the worse stuff not over the top "realistic" horror.

Good J-horror is stuff like Dark Water and The Ring, of course both made into more popular american movies and both are not "gore" movies.

What's J-Horror? Gore doesn't bother me, more the possibility of the situation being reality. You've forced my hand, calling horror that I love (Lovecraft and King) tame, thanks now I'm going to have to watch all that in order to retain my status as a man.
