    Default RS 2.1 = MTW2 mod??

    Seems like a wise move to me. Is that something that may happen in the near future? The animations and especially the different individual soldiers for barbarians is something i would want to see

    No its not going to happen. Its a lot harder than just changing a few lines of text.

    yep, look at EB for example, how long will they take to finish EB2 for M2TW?

    2.1 will be a patch for 2.0 that will fix up some bugs like spelling mistakes, incorrect stats etc.
    If you're referring to 3.0....well even IF the RS team decided to make a 3.0 for M2TW, it would take about 4 years for it to be released.

    IF RS team will make RS III on M2 engine, we would be waiting release for a VERY long time! But, I'm sure, it would be one of the BEST mods for Medieval II!

    Considering EB2 is already underway, not much sense in starting RS on that engine as well. I mean, it takes years to get these Roman era total conversion mods made, so might as well start on a different engine assuming they would ever want to.

    if the team want do a RS3, maybe the best choice could be to work on a recent engine, maybe on the futur total war title ?

    Actually RS 2.2 = M2TW mod, RS 2.3 = ETW mod while RS 2.4 = NTW mod. It's quite logical really.

    At the current state of things it's useless to make a mod for M2TW. We have to hope to see a R2TW instead with a decent moddability. Moreover M2TW has the problem to use Roman buildings in place of the Middle Age ones.

    Wow how is this question even being asked?...2.0 hasn't even been released...this has taken so much time and energy from so many people's lives...and you got the balls to ask about another? are you serious!?!. Give these guys a break, be thankful you got 2.0

    So, have you guys begam making concept arts for when RTW2 comes out?
    I think if you do this, then it will take less time.

    You could also start making the models and stuff. They can be later on just implemented into the game

    My opinion is that RS2 will be finished up here, then worked on and improved for a year or so to come. No RS3 for M2:TW, or E:TW.

    I do think that, provided the modders are still interested, there'd be a real chance of an RS3 on a hypothetical Rome 2: Total War in the future.
