i have this excat same problem and dont know how to fix it, i checked steam cache and it was ok, but couldn't find scripts folder anywhere, so obviousl i didnt delete it.

1. Graphics drivers are out of date.
2. Audio drivers are out of date.
3. Install http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en.
no they aren't. It doesn't mean anything if you bought your pc last week, or yesterday. They are in a box, and are not messed up since they get out of the factory or the person who build it. So all in all, you should always check if it is outdated. You just have to look in what you posted here to get the dates of those drivers.

updating graphics driver seems to have solved the problem, didnt update my audio drivers beacuse i couldn't figure out what in that huge wall of text was my audio driver.
