[WANTED] Voice Actors for new Lord of the Rofls project

Hello everyone, long time no post.

So to cut to the chase, as soon as my GCSE exams are over (which will be mid-June) I'll be getting to work on making more of the Lord of the Rofls, a project I sadly had to consign to the history bin due to exam pressure. (if you don't know what the Lord of the Rofls are, I suggest you go here and here )

Now by popular request, and critiques etc... I've come to agree, that a silent animation isn't going to cut it. So the Lord of the Rofls will now be done as a proper video, taking clips from the films, with musical backing and voice-overs

So this is where you, the TWC group comes in. When this project gets started, I'm going to need voice actors to do the voices (you may act surprised here). So please, if you have a microphone and a willingness to have your voice heard over this foul, twisted land otherwise known as the internet, then please, sign up and say you're ready to be part of the lotr cast!

Now for a poll: While I would prefer that the same voices are used for the same characters, to try and get more of the community involved, would a rota system be better?

Same voices: Adv - Consistent, won't put off outsiders (ie not people in TWC)
Dis - very little in terms of community involvement, buggered if someone can't record
suddenly

Rota: Adv - More community involvement, not buggered if someone can't record
Dis - Not consistent quality, may put off those outside TWC

What I'm doing is I'm reviving my old lord of the rings project, but changing the style from being a silent montage of stills with a text overlay, it is instead to be done as a proper video, using parts of the film, redubbing the voices with our own. However while a piece of writing can have an infinite amount of sounds, a voice only has one, so I need to recruit to extra people to do the various voices of the fellowship, and pretty much everyone else that will be featured.

The Lord of the Rofls was made by TWC (read: me) FOR TWC, so now I want to make the project WITH TWC, by bringing the community in to make something together which we can use to promote TWC and The Third Age: Total War (with the TATW crew's permission, of course)

However looking over the statistics of the two youtube videos (I converted the mines of mmorpg into one) shows that there's a distinct lack of views. People don't want to watch silent animations any more, unless they're of the 3 second, looped (and very annoying) variety, so I want to make it something bigger and better, and I wanted the TWC community, who initially gave me the encouragement to do this, to be a part of it.





As an open question to the side: I can't seem to find my RoflHai picture (the one with an Uruk looking like he's laughing with a "rofl" caption) its not on the usual sites I upload stuff but I know that it was, at one point, in use in these forums. Can anyone link me back to my pic please? most helpful

Hi, I've done some voicey stuff for TATW. I am the voice of the elves in the lore mod, and i would be glad to do any voice work. However, like you, I have my GCSEs soon.

As I've said, I'll only be starting this as soon as they're over. I just wanted to gather people's opinions and make sure there's interest before I commit to it.

Tbh it works well as it is now and a lot of the jokes are just great. Imho voices would only ruin it unless done extremely well. If you really want sound maybe music that changes according to the current mood/situation would work better.
