    Default Crash Problem

Game seems to be working all right, I can play it but I do have one problem.

I load my game and I go play one battle. Then whatever happens and I go about my business and everything is working fine. Then my next fight comes about that I decide I need to control personally and, like clockwork, the game crashes while the battle is loading.

So I can play one battle but then when I attempt to play a battle after that initial battle, the game crashes. Everything else seems to be working OK. Not an unplayable problem but just kinda annoying since EB takes kinda awhile to load.

Anyone have any idea what is going on or has anyone else ever experienced similar issues?

Did you apply the 1.2 fixes?

Yes sir. Everything has been installed. Like I said, not an unplayable problem, just a bit annoying and wanted to see if anyone else had anything similar happen ever.

Great mod though, having lots of good times

Hmm, what faction are you playing? Does it appear with other factions too?

Maybe you want to run validation.bat and post the results here, so we see if your installation has a failure.

    EDIT:
Is the right version showed in the main menu of EB?

Yep it has 1.2 showing on the main menu.

And how do I run the validation.bat? Is it in the EB install folder?

And yeah it happens for multiple factions.

You have to run validation.bat, it is found in the RTW folder. If you receive errors see Installation validation for a first information. Post your results here, so we can see if it is due to a corrupted installation.

It gave me a blank thing I guess because it is installed in 'Progam Files (x86)' folder. Steam installed it there so I dont know if I have a choice of where to install it. If I could theoretically install Rome outside of Progam Files (x86) do you think this problem would resolve itself?

Try the second hint mentioned by bovi in the thread I linked for you ( starting with: "The validation turns up with a blank Notepad document on Vista?...."). Get that other validation, this should work.

Installing EB outside the Program Files under Vista/Win7 is favorable, but I don't know if you can move your games in Steam so easily.
