Furries

So someone was talking about in vent that all furries, if not then the vast majority, are zoophiles. Not that i'm someone to defend furries or anything but this person is a friend of mine and we have Hannity and Colmes arguments often so I decided to argue in that I doubt that. Something like how in the 1980s people like evangelicals thought that DND players, wiccans, and goths were worshipping satan and doing human sacrifices. Or in the 90s when there was all that going around with those people who play that Vampire game drinking blood.

My opinion was that like in any subculture there are things that people will say about them, just like those examples from back then. The thing is that I know actually nothing about furries so I could be wrong. However his arguments are basically surrounding that they believe that they have the "spirit" of animals so they need an animal to "pleasure" themselves along with their partner. I was thinking this was quite some leap in logic.

What are some opinions on this? Are furries zoophiles?

I usually check out various subcultures because things like that interest me, went to a Vampire thing just to see what they do when I was invited once. Was like a bunch of nerds playing DND or bad renaissance fair acting involving combat by rolling dice like any other kind of role playing game. The only thing involving "locked rooms" was people involved with stories the rest of the players character's are not involved in. Not willing to check out furries to find out if my opinions are correct in comparing them to these other groups.

The bulk of Furries are just people who like that kind of stuff. Like that kinda art. A large amount are simply there for the porn as well. I doubt that more than a small amount of furries are bestialists.

Who is into beastiality and was actually driven out of his state for such behavior. There are many others associated with him who are. That along with some weird he said they believe in, like that they think have spirits of animals, was his argument.

I asked him why he knows about this person. Apparently he spent a few years with this guy named Reikan, a well known internet troll, trolling furries.

I was with a girl for three years that was a furrie. There's nothing 'wrong' with her at all.

But yeah, I should decline to comment on my own personal stuff. Let's just leave it at that it is rather unconventional, but also one of the largest guilty pleasures of both straight and bi-curious men.
