Default Siam Total War needs unit modellers

Hi, im Pazu the Kitsune, the official organizer for the Siam: Total War mod.

In essence, Siam Total War is a mod for Medieval 2 Total War covering South East Asian history from the years 1530-1700. This is a turbulent time period in the history of this part of the world, not only are the local factions in a near constant state of fighting, but the Europeans have begun colonizing the East Indies, posing a new challenge to anyone hoping to unify this part of the world.

It has become increasingly clear to me that a unit modeller would be very helpful at this stage in our mod. The units, weapons and uniforms of this part of the world are very unique and I am confident that not only will a unit modeller have alot of fun working on them, but people viewing the units will be intrigued and possibly lend help to our mod, which is something we will always need.

Preferably the unit modeller has some knowledge of South East Asian/East Asian historical outfits and equipment. However, if not it is not a problem, I have an abundance of pictures that should give you a feel for how the soldiers of the different factions looked. I will begin posting some of them here shortly.

If you are interested feel free to say so here or send me a PM. Our thread in the twcenter is here:

We also have our own forum, if youd like to know the address then please send me a PM.

We look forward to your help,
    Pazu

    Couple things:
    1) You neednt be knowledgeable about South East Asian armies, we now have the rescources to give anyone who wishes to make units for this mod a clear idea of what the various uniforms/outfits would have looked like at this time

    2) The unit rosters have evolved since i started this thread and now i can say this for certain:
Creating the units in this mod will be FUN.....it is a very unique mod and some of the units are quite interesting....some, perhaps challenging, but those ones might be the most rewarding of all

For some starter, you didn't have to create the models from Stratch, I have lent the Nusantara TW models for this purpose, and all that we need is someone who had spare time to convert CAS to MESH
