You know, I first heard of the idea that an infinite number of monkeys with typewriters would, if given time, eventually produce any arbitrary text you could name in the early '90s, when I was in middle school. None of us really knew about the internet then, much less realized that _we_ were destined to become those "monkeys" (or Great Apes, if you want to be pedantic). Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go get a haircut, then get back to working on my novel and the ExRM.

Do you remember that Carthaginian AAR in the old RTR forums where funkme2 was fighting a neverending war against the Romans in Sicily, but eventually solved the strategic problem by sending an army from Iberia to invade Italy from the north? With a bright young general of that army, which included elephants. I miss the old RTR forums, especially their AAR community.

Yeah, I miss the old RTR forums, too. I didn't even join up around here until months after they went down. That was a great AAR.

I remember your thread, too. That was the first time I learned that a general could impale himself on butt spikes (I'd known about the other direction), and it was really funny.
