    Default game lags

I downloaded the mod a few days ago and am loving it. However, the game will lag severely especially in battle mode. It doesn't do it constantly, rather it goes back and forth between normal speed and lagging. I never really had this problem with the regular MTW2 kingdoms. What do you think the problem is?

    ?
    set down your graphic settings
if that doesn't help you, upgrade your computer

TATW unit models have higher polygon counts than those of vanilla M2. That's the reason you have lag. I have it too

Indeed, lowering your settings would be the way to solve the problem
You just wasted 4 seconds of your life reading this sentence. You'll read it again because it was so funny and waste another 4. And since you read that sentence, some more disappeared, count this sentence and it's 'nother couple. Good job time waster!

Used to have that until I got a better computer so either get a new one or lower the graphics

If the problem is on the campaign map, then you might want to specifically lower your 'effects levels' and turn campaign shadows off - this will make the campaign flow much more smoothly.

If the problem is on the battle map, try reducing the unit detail.

However, if it is a universal problem, do as the others have said and reduce your overall graphics level

TATW lags so bad for me during battles. The only way to fix it is to put unit detail on low. I don't understand it because I can run other mods on the highest settings, and Napoleon TW on Ultra

Are the minimum system requirements higher than MTW2: Kingdoms?

TATW's units have a very high polygon rating, much higher than the other games that you mentioned (I believe) and thus the battles are bound to lag.

@0069twiggy, if you can play kingdoms smoothly then you'll be able to run TATW

A stuttering/lag also happens, when units get stuck in their pathfinding routine, for example multiple units attempting to climb the same ladder. I have posted a possible solution for that problem in the bug section. Check it out, maybe it helps.
