Google Earth is not connecting

Google Earth is not connecting anymore and I dont understand why. I get an error message saying google earth could not contact http://kh.google:80/. I made sure that Norton and windows defender/firewall is not blocking Google Earth but it still cant connect. This is strange because I never had this problem before. I also noticed that I cant login to windows live messanger.

That is very strange indeed.

I'm not sure on a complete fix but lets go through testing.

Uninstall Google earth Everything.

Uninstall messenger Everything.

Now download both clients again and install.

If this does not work do you get any error codes when trying to get on Messenger ?

I only noticed this today but I havent been able to connect to Itunes store and Norton live update or Internet explorer for a while either. Firefox works fine and I can play multiplayer games. I have a feeling I messed something up in my registry a week ago when combating a virus. I killed the virus but I must have messed my internet connections somehow. Any suggestions? re-installing the programs didnt make a difference.

I went into windows help and support, ran Reset Internet Explorer proxy settings. That restored the default settings. That fixed all of my connections. I checked out Norton help and they recommended updating to the latest version. Voila! Liveupdate works again. I feel so stupid! Thanks for your support all the same.
