Personally I do not care for rank fire since I think it looks too robotic.
And secondly did the British not only use 2 rank fire? First row kneel, second row standing?

uhm... i don't know but i think they used 3 rank fire: 1st, 2nd and 3rd line.

The nations used mostly massfire and this looks for some people like rank fire. Normally 1. row on knees, 2. and 3. row standing with 3. row firing throug / between the men of 2. row ... but all firing together at one time and not row for row. This art of fire was simple to learn and at least much more effectiv as the previous things.
But unfortunatelly this "real massfire" does not exist in ETW and NTW as file and because of castrated modding possibilities it can't be created by modders in the moment.

Hehe, so the russians just fired their first two lines.
I'm wondering if the Elite troopes would've liked to kneel down in order to shoot.
Probably they also fired their first two rows. But then again one can wonder how many times elite line regiments were actually used in battle. (not counting the French old guard for they only used the bajonet, so I've heard).
