    Default PSP Problem

I just found my PSP after it was lost for 5 months. It was in my backpack. Problem is there seems to be an issue with the battery. The cover doesnt stay on right and whenever that side of the PSP bumps into anything it turns off. Whats wrong with it?

It could be that there's a bad connector. That's the only thing which comes to mind, or a depleted battery: you could try keeping it to the charger to see if that changes anything.

That depends which part is faulty. If the battery is faulty, get a new battery. If its the wires in the actual unit... you'll need a new unit.

I have the exact same problem with my PSP.

The problem is, as said, due to poor connectors. I used to get so damn annoyed when I was in the middle of a game and I'd put it down to get something and it would just shut down.

The temporary solution I have is simply to leave the cover off and instead tape down the pack with selotape very firmly. I know it sounds very cheap, but doing that has stopped it shutting down. Vertical and horizontal pressed down strips of strong adhesive tape will stop it crashing until you either get it fixed or replace it.

Hope I helped, my fix is very cheap and DIY but it does stop it shutting down in the meantime (this solution has meant my PSP back from when it was released is still providing me with entertainment - no need for new models for me!).
