Cities are invisible

Ok, so I havnt played Empire total war in awhile and when i started it up today all of the cities on the campaign map were invisible along with forests and all the buildings like universities and factories. Does anyone know what is wrong or how to fix it?

Happens to me a lot. Simply restarting the game usually does it.

It generally relates to graphics card issues take a look in the tech help section http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=1074 start in the driver threads dependant on your card, failing a resolution irishron and Mr MM are both knowledgeable and helpful
