Just installed the mod and then i cant start a campaign, every time i try to it says (Please select an item from the list). And then every time i quit the mod then it says (script error in
Barbarian_invasion/descr_strat .txt, at line 21,column 1. Expected start date of campaign or battle.

and i dont know why it keeps saying that.please help
and every time i try to play a custom battle a press the play button and then it sends me back to were i need to pick a nation and it wont let me continue to were i need to select units for the battle.

Zaire the great is probably right. That error is almost always the result of having the wrong version of RTW. Check the top right corner of the options screen in game - your version should be 1.5 (for the RTW exe), 1.6 (if you are using the BI exe), or 1.9 (if you are using the Alexander exe).

Heh i got another question, how does the cheat add_population tell the difference between Thebes greece and Thebes egypt, everytime i try that cheat for Thebes it always adds or subtracts people from Thebes greece.

im guessing that it has a different name in the files
you just have to figure what that name is

usually its one that is similar
if it isnt then the only ways to find it that i know of is to ask whomever made those particular files or by process of elimination (would take a bit of time for either of them)

yeh i will try to look around and if i cant find what i need then i will just force diplomacy the region from the ptolemys and change the region name myself, ha that should teach the game.

Unfortunately it's not simple. The internal name for the Thebes in Greece is 'Thebes_Greece'. But the internal name for the Thebes in Egypt is just 'Thebes', so using the internal name won't help. Changing the internal name in the files will break any saved games you have, but you could try changing the external name (the one you see on the screen).

The file you need to change is in '[rtw]/xgm/data/text/' and it will be called [campaign name]_regions_and_settlement_names.txt. The internal names are in curly brackets. Find the line that looks like this...

{Thebes}					Thebes

...and change it to something like:

{Thebes}					Thebes Egypt

You might also need to delete map.rwm from '[rtw]/xgm/data/world/maps/base/' or '[rtw]/xgm/data/world/maps/campaigns/custom/[campaign name]/' if you are playing a provincial campaign.

hello i m new here i insttal rome total wat the patch 1.3 and 1.5 then RTW alex the great and extended greek mod but now RTW is showing that i have 1.3 patch ? how i that possible

RTW alone is able to be patched to 1.5. BI alone to 1.6

And @martin, we do not tell people to get a crack on our fora.

TM Is Back is correct - it is against TWC rules to discuss cracks, where to get them, or how to use them.
