    Default About the shields

Ave! This is my first post here, despite I'm ardent fan of RTW mods

I've noticed that many models in this fantastic Mod (for me, absolutely the best!) have shields with thickness, and other without it. Thickness make shields really realistic, giving to graphic an "heavy" beauty.

So my question is: why not all shields have this great characteristic? It's beacause of the heaviness of the models, or just for team choice?

You're doing an epic work, really!

P.S. theese are some shields made by me in Photoshop

The shield thickness issue has been one that the dev team had looked at. It was simply a time issue. At one point none of the models had thickness to their shields but eventually some models were given shields with thickness. Being that the list of models are filled to the brim, it was impractical to ask Tone to go back and add shield depth to ALL the existing models (and given that there are some models shared by multiple factions in the forms of different units, adding thickness to shields would be a logistical nightmare.

    Nice work.

Yeah, it's purely a question of time.....the fact that I'm the only active modeller in the team, but tied up with other stuff. So unless someone else comes along and helps out with modelling - unlikely as adding shield thickness is not exactly the most glamorous of jobs - it won't get done.

Clearly not. The Theuroi (if that's the pleural of Theuros) should be taller and just as wide as the round hoplite-style shields (the aspis).

In this pic I've posted the shields are not proportionated because came from different textures with different dimensions. So some shields are bigger or smaller.
