Building Construction Crash

Hello, I am playing as Prussia in the Grand Campaign, all is well until I want to upgrade my Barracks to the next tier, when I want to hover over the build button of said next tier the game crashes.. It does it time and time again, only then. I have no idea what could cause this seeing it is such a minor task.

I run Windows 7 64 bit if that is of any help.

Could this be a fault in the installation itself?

It sounds like the game itself.

Try verifying your game cache. It could be a corrupted file.

In Steam, My Games, Empire.

Right click Empire and look through the menues.
