    Default own faction

i don't really know where to post this, so i shall post it in here

how can i create my own faction, with my own flag and my own starting position?

that was question one, here comes 2

if question 1 was possible, how can i get this unit :

(hired mercenaries from the pirate mod in ATR 2.00)

question 3 : how can i adjust the setting for that unit (shooting range: 5000
    reloading skill 5000, ....)

question 4 : when i select the starting city for my own faction, how can i make the city a city with 5 sorts of building (admirality, barracks, ....) instead of a normal city with only 1 building (like goverment enchapment)

If you are looking for somebody to give you a step 1.. do this... step 2... go here, do this... I don't think you are going to find as such. But there are many tutorials you can find here in the TW community mod thread. The basics to making your own mods might be found here...

Here is a tutorial on how to edit start positions which will be crucial to giving your nation a Provence to control...

    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=272139

then you will want to learn how to use this text editor from Lt. Chambers which is the standard modding tool for most if not all mods. This tool allows you to open up all the packed files and then allows you to edit these files and then arrange them back into a pack file with your own naming to add to the data folder....

here is Lt Chambers tool thread....

    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=240335

here is Lt Chambers data base editor which allows you to change all the fields and states of everything packed. the above just opens for viewing mostly while this allwos to edit...

    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=280329

And here is a thread that shows you how to add new factions and edit existing ones....

    Hope this helps suh!
