Game opens into unsupported reslotuion!!?

Hey guys i need some help getting my game to work again. I installed the game before and it was working fine, the default resolution was doing good too. Since i'm playing on a lcd tv i turned up the resolution to 1920X1080 and it looked good but was way to small for me. So i turned it back to default settings and the game just went to the monitors "unsupported" screen, i could still hear the audio so i knew the game hadn't crashed. It just keept saying it was unsupported. I manually shut the game down. Turned it on again but still the same problem no intro menu nothing just goes straight into unsupported blue screen. SO I reinstalled the game and STILL the problem was there.

Delete the medieval2.preferences.txt and let it generate a new one.

Just deleted the medieval2.preferences and it didn't help it didn't even make a new one.

You are down to reinstalling the game, then.It is supposed to generate one, and if it does not, you have other problems besides monitor rsloution.

If that does not work, post our dxdiag.

Hey i just reinstalled it didn't work again. So i'm gonna try to get new install files there might be a problem with these ones. Will post again once i get them from D2D and see if it works.

Hey, it didnt work. But I don't think there is a problem with the game, I think it might be something in my comp so i made a new windows account and it works perfectly. Is their anyway to find out what the problem might be with my main admin account?
