How to win without lame tricks! Some simple ideas.
After many frustating defeats against good opponents
and also some respectable opponents .
I advice the following:
Take your time do not rush into action .
Study the map find good places to hide troops put art or
or protect behind your troops.
Build a good army choice. Extreme armies have extreme weakness
Never try a frontal assaualt .
When face a camper overflanking him (put a part of you army near him in a good position but not engage him move you rest army into overflanking.)
Retreat if the things go wrong reatreat to obtain better positions if you can.
Use your cavalry wisely choose you cavalry according your tactics
a fast moving cavalry can confuse your enemy (without going into action)
Crappy infantry sometimes is good even infantry without drill if positioned in a good position can be proved lethal.
Economy and Concetrate force the most classic advice but hard to achieve The logic is to keep the enemy streched while even your crappier forces that are concetrated to attack at one point that is obviously weak.
Remeber Standing and shooting all the time is retarted at some point a good melee is helpfull.
Thats all from a loser that managed to win.
