In year 34, I am playing as Orcs of the Misty Mountains. My first time playing, love this mod. Am I doing well?

Depends, could you post a pic of your campaign?
Probably considering if u watch the movies u wonder why they didn't send Legolas in to mordor by himself, leglose wont be happy u killed him.
My A-list of mods to play
Lord of the Rings total war
Thera Legacy of the Great Torment
End of Days and its sequel
Third Age total war, similar to Lord of the rings total war
Call of Warhammer
RIP
Bringing the light of God(Canadian) Emperor to the fringes of TWC
Yea the death of a cameo character isnt that significant IMO, they just add flavour to the mod. I mean could you make a LOTR mod and just use random names and generals?![]()

Well, I killed Legolas in turn 9 in my last OotMM campaign, but since he decided to camp in front of Dain's halls with nearly no troops that wasn't a very heroic deed of mine...
In my first OotMM campaign on the other hand, he became the last king after nearly all the other SE were destroyed and ambushed my reinforcement troop consisting nearly totally of trolls and he slaugtered so many of my nice dear trollies like I never saw before or after. I was so glad when he got his well-deserved troll-club into the face in the end which also was the end of the Sylvan Elves.
Hard to say, killing Legolas isn't really any indication to how well you're doing. It all depends on the circumstances of his death. Did you push into silvan territory? Did he die while attacking you or wandering aimlessly around your borders? Fortunately he isn't the one man army that he is in the movies, otherwise I'd congratulate you.
ahhh, i loved it when legolas was killed by my orcs in my mordor campaign. i kept wach over him, so that i could see exactly where he fell by akorahil's black numenorians. then, as i was chasing down the last pitiful elves, i surrounded him with the my legions and took nice vacation-style pics.
(unlucklily i then found out that, due to some problem with my computer, none of the screenshots was recorded)
Haha I hate killing heroes, in my mordor campaign a few days ago I killed faramir and I think also Boromir in one battle, I had them trapped in Henneth Anun (at least faramir died in his favourite place I guessIthilien)

I love this campaign, playing as Mordor.
Denathor, the steward of Gondor died a fruitless death as he attacked the newly conquered Osgiliath with a small and pathetic force in what can only be described as a suicide attack.
King Theoden killed off the Silvan Elves, including Legolas, and got the title; the Mean. When I invaded Rohan, King Theoden did the famous Helm's Deep charge right out of his castle...
... only thing was the battle hadn't even begun, but he came charging out of the castle gates with his personal bodyguard, and going solo straight into my Olog-Hai, surrounded by Uruk Halberds.
Can't say I don't love Theoden in this game more than the one in the movie.
"He who wishes to be the best for his people, must do that which is necessary - and be willing to go to hell for it."
Let the Preservation, Advancement and Evolution of Mankind be our Greater Good.
And NO, my avatar is the coat of arms from the Teutonic Knightly Order because they're awesome.
I also love killing heroes. Seeing Gimli fall under the charge of Glorfindel's bodyguard is a moment at which you remember why you love this game...![]()

He tried to take the ring, got killed by a band of super-orcs who were just passing by.You're following the books perfectly. Take an extra turn.
Never mind. Just keep Boromir alive, kill Gimli and conquer the world as an evil faction and the books are screwed. Keep it up!(

The Enemy of Human Souls
Sat grieving at the cost of coals;
For Hell had been annexed of late,
And was a sovereign Southern State.
They called a Crusade against the Rohan capital so I killed a couple generals there, fun times. Like others said killing Heroes is great fun for me. The only way I won was bringing about 2000 goblins (A mix between Snaga Skirmishers and Goblin Warriors) and even then they killed half.
