IB2 Vandalorvm II Campaign Install Issues/Questions/Bugs

Burgundians at least, have the ability to recruit boats with no dock. This means you would never see the unit on the campaign map.

River boat issue is fixed and will be ready for the next upgrade

I installed the executable (IB2 AFRICA VANDALORVM 2) after these series :

IB2 - Vandals Version 1.2 Full
IB2 - Vandals Version 1.2 Full.D01
IB2 - Vandals Version 1.2 Full.D02
IB2 - Vandals Patch 1.2.01

But now, whenever I start to open the game, the beginning picture is displayed, then it is crashing to desktop.

Where am I doing wrong? What should I do?

First of all thank you for a brilliant series!
Had a problem with campaign battles in Africa giving a CTD. Checked the attached error log and looked like a missing mesh file.

Made a copy of : data/unit_models/_Units/Romans/Roman_leg_palatina_rnd_shield_ug1_lod0.mesh
Renamed to : data/unit_models/_Units/Romans/Roman_leg_palatina_rnd_shield_ug2_lod0.mesh

No more CTD's.

Ok then, I was able to fix the loading-battle issue thanks to Murkwood (see above). Ricimer has mercifully croaked at last (no one will miss him), but now I have another issue: after winning a siege battle against the Goths at Emporiae, the game crashes soon as it gets back to the strategic map; over and over again and I'm stuck.
Any one please would remind me how to activate the show_ error?

Thank you so much for your warm welcome and comments. I think I am only scratching the surface and there is an awful lot to learn. I wish I had time…..
I am truly amazed at the innovations and development that has been made on the configurable side of the battle engine making this mod, not to mention the units which have been produce by really talented individuals, so much closer to what the Total War experience should be for the decline of the roman empire period.

Equites Catafractarii in battle mode doesn't have a shield, just thought I would let you know, great model!.

Hey, the mod looks great. In fact I was dreaming about a mod based in Regnum Visigothorum (in a later timeline but still good this one, may be a good idea for a submod if i would got the skills) when I just found this one . By the way I would suggest a cantabri or basconi faction to add more variety and reflect the problems the goths got there with some hispanic roman population.

But well, I have a problem, some textures are out since a see the wellknown silver surfers in at least 2 units: milites from the Hispanic Roman and playing a custom battle I saw it also in Domesticorum Pedites of the romans, this ones they haven't unit card also (the regular paseant one). I am not sure if it is a corruption in my files or just ok since the mod is in development.

Double click the your batch file Executive in the IB2 folder to start the game. If the install went correctly there should be shortcut on your desktop.

ok i installed it again their is no bat file ib2 folder and shortcut

The installer doesn't give me an option of where to install the game, it just automatically puts it in C:/Program Files (x86)/MyProduct/ which obviously is not where it should go. Is anyone else having this problem?

Hi guys! First of all, good job, from many points of view (historical, technical...)
But a very simple question : how to install this mod ?
I've got five elements downloaded, I'm totally lost...
I'm sorry to say that, but your tutorial about installation process is not very clear for me.

What should be installed in first ? In second ?
I thought I succeeded at one moment, but when I launch a campaign, I've got a CTD with an error message ("what a mess! check the log...close the shop..." or something like that).
I've checked this forum before, but I saw nowhere the same kind of error message than me. I think it's not a problem of "virtual store", but a mistake from concerning installation.
