    Default Can't install Third Age!

I love playing Third age and have been playing it for the last half year, but when I wanted to reinstall the mod, I couldn't!!!
    This is why: Attachment 86145

I have no idea how this happened, I installed Third Age many times before and this is the first time!
I have reinstalled Medieval 2 and Kingdoms expansions and updated all of them, but this is the first time I'm having problem installing Third Age!
I DON'T know what to do! I want to try FROME, but I can't even install Third age!
What's this "Uninstal.exe" and why is it giving me headaches?!

You have an access error. try to go to 'd:\Games\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\' and check this Uninstall.exe.
You should delete it on your own. Maybe than it will work.

Because it looks like you already have this Uninstall.exe and it is write protected. Thats why the Installer
cant write a new Uninstall.exe because of the write protection it can not replace it.

(maybe you should give your whole M2TW folder write-permission and disable the write protection for all files in it.)

Anyhow this is a very strange Error and it is the first time it appears here. Keep us updated.

Here is what happened when I deleted Uninstal.exe It's the same...
I don't understand why is this happening. I installed TATW few weeks ago and everything was fine.
There could be another thing: about a month ago, I installed Stainless Steel and when I tried to uninstall SS, it asked if I wanted to uninstall TATW. It seems that SS and TATW have the same uninstal.exe... But I was able to install it afterward and delete SS.
Before I tried to install TATW yesterday, I completely deleted Medieval 2 Total War and installed it again with all the patches and Crusader and Britannia from Kingdoms. I also updated Kingdoms to 1.05.
I have Commodo Firewall and Avira Antivirus.

really strange. btw - there is no need for you to use the unsinstall.exe when you want to delete
TATW (or any other mod). Since the mods are not getting any other entries (registry/user data/...)
in the system you can simply delete the mod folder.

For your problem you could try another thing. This time install the TATW patch into in a totally
different folder (on the desktop FE) and cut & paste it in the correct place in the mods folder of
M2TW afterwards. (the installer actually is doing nearly the same but maybe the system will allow
it when you (admin(?!)) paste them there instead of the installer.)

Well and maybe you should download the TATW 1.0 part 2 again and/or from another location you
downloaded it in the first place. maybe it is corrupt or something.

    You're right!!!
It seems that the problem was with M2TW folder and when I installed TATW in different folder, there was no problem, it works perfectly! I just copied TATW back into M2TW and it's good! IT WORKS!

TNX jản!!! Now I can play my favorite game again!
    I'll drink in your name!

I was also having this issue and tried installing in a separate folder but got a similar error (Instead of access being denied to the uninstal.exe it could not create it) When I disabled everything on COMODO Anti-Virus and Sand-Box I was able to install into a separate folder on the desktop
