Who should I Play with?

I am starting my first VH/VH campaign. I am sure I will have a difficult time with it because I only recently started fighting out the battles myself. So I am asking which faction would have the most advantageous starting place, diplomacy standing, and economy for a beginner to VH/vH? Let me say I only play with Christians obviously. I prefer Germany, Teutonic, and Jerusalem but I think for VH/VH these would be a great challenge indeed. My main worry is being able to build an economy while fending off many stacks, because of my lack of VH battle experience.

I voted for a not very popular group but one of my favs to play England a tricky spot specialy with HHB but if run well can be very enjoyable but still doable . A campaign where if you rush in you will go down hard but with some carefull planning is most rewarding.

LOL England was already a very tricky start in standard KGCM. I can only imagine how tough it is now seeing HRE take Nottingham the other day in my current Norway campaign Defend the shores men from the irish, vikings, and now the Kaiser Actually that sounds like it might be my next campaign

I vote France for your first VH/VH campaign, but then I could be underestimating Flanders.

LOL if the french take caen then they to will land at london so it is now a campaign where you must choose your friends quickly build strength and hold on and a little preying doesnt hurt either

Thats who I was originally gonna play with. I tried them once on VH/H and From what I remember, Ireland tooks my Irish possessions. France overran me in Renne and Caen was struggling to survive. I guess I will have to let wexford and renne go for the time being and reinforce Dublin and Caen while striking alliances with the Scots or Wales... I tried Poland last night. I love their Cavalry, it suits my style. I tend to get to impatient to micro-manage infantry units like I should for VH. I tend to play out in 2x, which I need to stop that I guess to improve my game. What surprised me with Poland was I was at war with Lithuania and Denmark within 10 turns and I didnt even see any Kievan units at all. Luckily Denmark got excommed so I was able to get a ceasefire and Lund from them. I had 5 cavalry units against a 3/4 stack of lithuanians and was able to rout them. Mounted crossbows and missle units come in handy! Thx for the feedback Soul I'll give it a go with England.

England VH/VH somehow I managed to destroy wales in the first 15 turns, but then it took me a further hundred to take all of the isles- this was probably done by not being at war with france ... but then in crashed upon the invasion of scandanavia, and the funnest battle I've ever had in TW

France, Ireland, Denmark, Norway are all good starting positions in my opinion.
Turks are definatly the blitziest faction and can quickly become a superpower.

I chose England and am about 35 turns in. I made a strategic move in the first turn that may prove to be a wise decision. I bought off the french and allied with them. So my economy is just now starting to come up. I have no stacks. My only full stack led by Robin Hood took Donegal and is now garrisoned for refitting. The poor irish kept bring half stacks to London. With no second war I was able to defeat them before they could siege Dublin. So I've been fending off Ireland. Germany attacked me but was quick to accept a ceasefire. Wales is busy with Scotland my ally for the foreseable future. I've allied to a lot of potential enemies. My battle play isnt up to par so until I get my tactics down I'm being cautious.
