Default Post Battle CTD at Selection Screen:

If you get a CTD after a battle, where you click on either 'Occupy, Enslave, or Depopulate' a city, would all of you please report that CTD in here, and tell me one important thing:

Did the army YOU fought with have a REAL named Character (a General), or not. And, did the opposing army have a named character General. What I want to pursue here is whether this happens 'because' you fought the battle with a Real General and the opposing armies had real Generals, or any combinations of the above. So please report whether ANY armies that participated in ANY battle that resulted in CTD at the selection screen had real Generals, and be absolutely specific WHICH armies had the real General. Your main army, your reinforcing army, both....the enemy's main army, it's reinforcing army, etc.

I want to (hopefully) construct a 'picture' of what's happening here and see if there is a common denominator that can be addressed.

Another things I want to know is whether every last enemy warrior was killed, in all armies, and if not, were the survivors still within the Battlefield 'square' (boundries), or had they all left the boundries. Again, this is for statistical reasons, because if the CTD happens because enemy units are still on the battlefield (even though they are routing and you are told you won), then perhaps the thing to do is pursue and kill them, or wait until they have left...but I don't recall right now if that's possible.

This error could also be caused by something really dumb....like the Battle engine in RTW still 'calculating' the results of the battle even thought the UI screen to resolve it has popped up already. Maybe it'll take watching the hard drive light to see if there is activity, or waiting a ten count, or a 20. Who knows, there may be a simple solution we could pass on.

So I'm assuming that this issue has been fixed and no one is having this CTD anymore? Lordy I'm brilliant! I just wrote about it, and it's fixed!

foudn this bug. i was attacking with a recruited tribune milites, to the greeks. they attacked me while sieging, and i won. i clicked enslave and ctd.

the ir two armies were made of 200 and 600 greeks. without named general.

i think the cause is that an external army attackeed me and i removed to 0 the defending army.

I got this bug after the capture Odessos after the battle with the Scythians during the turn of AI.

After the replay this bug is not repeated.

My armee was under command basileos Perseus, Scythian army - under the command of Captain (not character).
CTD was after the attack the Scythian army and attacks of the garrison to aid them. The Scythians were defeated and fled, but the battle continued until the complete annihilation of fleeing in the field. The survivors fled to the red line.
