You will need a java installation to get it operational, but then, if you DL the maps you can have wargames from many periods, to fight online, or email, witha random dice roller results for your games etc.
Not a bad way to settle a dispute here btw.
or and abetter version imo, the AA Org contain this for the Axis and Allies series of games.
How to install:
First, if you haven't done so already, download and install Attila's ABattleMap. Remember the location on your drive though, since you'll need this location to install the AModulePack. If you don't know what this "location" is, simply leave everything on the default settings and just press the "next" buttons
Second, download and install the AModulePack. You will be prompted for a location to install to. Make sure this is the same location as where you installed your ABattleMap (default: "C:\Program Files\ABattlePack"). Also make sure you've got enough free disk space, since all the files do grab their share (157,7 MB to be precise).
Lastly, open your ABattleMap, and explore all the new modules added. Have fun!
Now this board contains some good game playing minds, so whose up for a game?, we can play head to head or team play, we can even take on team from the AA board, or simply settle disputes here by playing ww2.
