Craters from artillery and so forth. Maybe even bring over the graphic of bombardments, musket fire etc.

No chance whatsoever. They might (and heavy emphasis on "might") back-port some of the BAI and CAI improvements on over from NTW, but the diplomacy, graphics and physics are not going to change. They've said as much already.
Still waiting for the actual 1.6 patch, CA. You know, the one that actually changes the version niumber from 1.5 to 1.6. Yeah. That one. Any freaking time now.

If the request is reduced to a single one; mod tools for the community, they'll take care of everything that CA doesn't have the time or inclination to do for ETW (and NTW for that matter). Not sure what they have to lose by opening up a year-old title to modders anyhow.

I also thoroughly enjoy Empire. There are only 2 things wrong with it:

A) My full-time job
B) My kids

Both of these things limit the amount of time I have to play it. I wish CA would patch that particular issue.

Damn. I want mod tools and i want them now! This is quite ridiculous, we have a game that could become great in the hands of the right people (the modders, obviously). I can't even think what amazing things could be done with Empire with the proper tools...

Well DLC has mostly been about units thus far, and afaik people can already change units...

This Mod tools talk is a joke.

Over a year ago, before ETW release: "They`ll be Mod tools.`

During ETW :" They`ll release mod tools. Be patient, whiners."

Later: "They`ll release Mod tools after Napoleon."

After Napoleon: "Everything would be perfect with md Tools!"




Propaganda Minister kieran even said as much that they`ll be NO mod tools since people have managed to make `mods` by themselves. Now he`s gone of course with the release of NTW his work is done...

I`ve heard every piece of apologists for CA excuse on the planet. The truth is, it isn`t happening any time soon.

When will you guys get the message?
