    The descr_regions has to agree with the RGB code on your map_regions
    Descr_start entries have to be adjusted
    Does the text\imperial_campaign_and ... file contain the correct names from desc_regions?

    The way to proceed:

    1. install Bare_Geomod
    2. Copy your complete world folder into Bare_Geomod, add the text\imperial_cmapaign_and... file as well
    3. then try to start the campaign

    There might be still files that need to be copied like descr_names, export_descr_units etc.

    Well, I told you about the corrupted map_regions already.
    The not corresponding labels mean that these names are not entered in the correct faction slot in descr_names or missing in data\names
    The unknown culture entry will be a formatting error at that line in the EDU - this is the fatal error. Compare that line with the same line of a unit above it to get an idea what the problem is.
    des_regions it fixed but , i believe its better i say this info too, the file descr_regions and sttelements_names appeare me always the error saying that per example: bulga is missing (i added names of all factions to this file with bin editor, but i dont modified even one, just added) so now it worked... but now it sais its corrupted but the program fixes that (debug), so i dont know why it appears in the system log but i still posted it because it can be relevant
    the problems with names it should be easy to fix, but today i dont have time...
    and the last: "Unknown faction or culture '' detected in the EDU at line 164!" i dont know wat is EDU i know that isnt a file because i searched for it in geomod... so can you tell me the exact name of the file ? never seen that word EDU... (i am a noob modder)

    So I installed Bare_Geomod again. I then copied my world folder into Bare_Geomod and I made sure the region names were in the imperial_campaign_and...file. But the campaign still didn't start.

    My question is what did you mean adjust the Descr_Strat entries. Maybe thats why it didn't work. I haven't touch that file.

    @Everyone

    Transferring files to be able to work with Geomod can be a tedious affair as a lot of additional files might have to be copied as well to make it work after modding it with Geomod.
    The best (and surest way) would be to make a back up copy of your mod and then work on the original with Geomod. My manual will help you with identifying the necessary files that Geomod requires.

    Bare Geomod is a resource based on the original game - in it's present form it is most useful to get used to modding with Geomod and learn the principles of the tool. Adapting it to use wiht another mod will be difficult if you are not conversant with the interdependence of files in the game, eg EDU-->descr_mounts-->descr_projectiles
    descr_strat-->descr_sm_factions-->descr_cultures

    yeah i already read you guide 3times now... ( the one which is present to download), i already made backups for the mods i will mod, dont worry about that
    my problem isnt with workng with geomod, its an easy tool (i will not make new regions neither drawn regions) your manual says everything but i believe it lakes some info about pre-geomod , i mean what to do with corrupted files, how to fix files, some terminology for example EDU
    and sorry but i still have no idea what is EDU, could you try to explain it please ?

    I haven't gotten around to get all the error messages together yet -once the Shogun2 madness has died down (I am a moderator) I should get time for that.
    In the meantime post errors with the tool in the thread for the tool: Geomod Tool for Mapping look through it for possible answers as well. Be specific what the problem is that you are having.

    EDU = export_descr_units

    Hey Gigantus, great resource this is. It's helped me TONS with my mod making, one thing though. When I go to select a campaign to play it takes a RIDICULOUSLY long amount of time to go onto the loading screen before the campaign map shows up. Is this just a normal thing or is that me?

    Both - you missed the note about the historic_event file.

    Check my manual - page 5:

    ++ Special note: This file is not properly generated by Geomod and will cause a long delay at game start if not rectified. To fix this matter you should download the StringBin Converter (requires Python 2.6) and extract the converter into the data\text folder of your mod. Double click\run 'convert_all.bat' to get updated txt files, which in turn will generate new string.bin files, solving the problem. The string.bin converter is already included in my ‘Bare Geomod’ installation.

    Oh sweet as, it's working much faster, thanks alot Gigantus. The Bare_Geomod along with Geomod itself has been invaluable to me, and has saved me weeks worth of pain had I done the basic mapping from straight text files

    (Now to create a decent map for my mod!)

    Hello, I've come across a small problem with the siege ladders (see image attachment) being not long enough for the walls.

    The mod I'm using is Bare Geomod, but its been edited to have 'custom' campaigns (I've been following/using Alpaca's tutorial). I've only added one custom campaign (named Test_campaign), and thus far its a complete copy of the original Bare Geomod imperial_campaign.

    Not sure how this error got itself into the mod, as when I finished adding the custom campaign I went to test the custom 'Test_campaign' and only noticed the ladder error in a battle.

    Try replacing the data\descr_walls file with the latest version from one of the kingdoms campaigns.
