How about vivaldi's four seasons?
Pachelbel's Canon in D performed by Karajan and the Berliners. Very relaxing. I also higly recommend Bach's cello suites and his Air on Strings. Mozart's eine kleine nachtmusik is also very relaxing and so is the specially arranged Herbert von Karajan version of Beethovens Ode to Joy ( the EU anthem version). Roman's Drottningholmsmusik is also quite nice.
EDIT: oh and of course Boccherini's La Musica Notturna Delle Strade Di Madrid!

Well, it contains many passages that are not exactly calm and relaxingHow about vivaldi's four seasons?
Once long ago I posted Karajan playing Vivaldi and was quickly reminded that he and baroque musicPachelbel's Canon in D performed by Karajan and the Berliners.
don't belong together. I've learned a thing or two since then. Here's a more authentic version,
though not everyone may like the organ there as I found out the last time I posted this.

I might as well add my own recommendation, I guess you'll recognise the melody
Bach's Cello suite nr.1:
Bach's Air on A G String:
Bach's Double Violin Concerto in D minor
Delibe's Flower Duet:
Barber's Adagio for the Strings:
Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 21:
Erik Satie - Gymnopédie No.1
And of course.. How could we forget Brahm's Lullaby

I find it extremely relaxing, although there are slower parts of the piece as well
Yummie. Haydn is always nice.I might as well add my own recommendation, I guess you'll recognise the melody

Well it's split up into four songs so you can choose which ones are calm to you. But I'm a person who can sleep with Ozzy Osbourne so calm might not be my best.

Or when u feel down then listen to some ambient music and u will probably kill urself![]()
Eno kicks ass. I've loved his music for about 7 years now. His, Music for Airports, and, Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks, are great.

Some more Vivaldi, I think this one very much falls into the calming/relaxing category.
