    Default More mongol units

i think the mongols should have more infantry units, such as a couple of units of swordsmen. I know there main force was horsemen, but i think the levy spearmen and militia arnt that good, im not sure if the dismounted lancer units are included in the campaign but if they arnt they should be, along with other better infantry

This is probably a good thing; diversification, so you don't feel you're fighting the same people all the time. It is also much more challenging this way, as you have to adopt different tactics, which only adds to the fun

And chances are you will be using spearmen rather than dismounted knights, so it'll be spear on spear not making it that much of a disadvantage

The Mongol Empire was a huge even before they came to Europe. So maybe they could have some exotic units fighting in their armies such as Siberians, Chinese and Thai and not forgetting the vast amount of turkish nations that were absorbed into the Mongol War machine. The adopted nations were usually doing things in which they had particular skills: Chinese as pikemen, crossbowmen and engineers, Turkish as heavy cavalry and archers and so on.
The present vanilla mongol army is indeed sadly monotonic .

A special building could be built which have unique mercernaries to recruit, such as the chinese and turkish units "Dumanthis" said about. As well as a few swordsmen units, like the gotland footman but obviously with sabres and the black armour the heavy horseman have.

I remember that in Rome TW there was some buildings only available in the border areas of the map, for Parthia the Silk Road building was available in the most eastern territories only. Maybe the same style building could be authentic and correct for the mongols to enable these new units for training. It would seem odd indeed if mongols could train chinese infantry for example from Hungary

This will be easiest done with the use of a hidden resopurce then you make a requirement of building these units this resource then mongol will only ever be able to build these units where the resource is .

Easy enough to make a resource called china and add some asain units (making them a little harder depending on your moddeling skinning abilities) and just add this resource to the eastern most regions (this is easier than making a specific building for them but that works to though .)
