The goal of this project is to make the Constitution concise and easy to understand. Its premise is that the Constitution's primary role is to state precisely the powers and authorities of the two bodies that run the site: the Staff and the Curia. But it also has a secondary goal, which is to ensure that any citizen or member can read about our system, and not be put off by cluttered writing and unnecessary additions. The main problem with the Constitution is that it's been added to by a large number of people who have tried to improve its substance, not its style (which is fine, but in the end makes it too complicated). The aim of this is to redress the balance, and make sure that it loses it's perception of long-windedness.

This is a completely open project, so anyone can contribute, whether citizen or member. I'll be posting some suggestions and guidelines in a bit, but it's really up to everyone who's interested to make what they like of it.
