Which Faction Do You Dislike The Most?

This may not be interesting to anyone else, but I am curious to see what other people think. And if people give their reasons as to why, it may in some little way help the modders of this great game change certain factions to make them better. SO, PLEASE LEAVE A POST EXPLAINING WHY YOU CHOSE THE FACTION YOU DID.


I will start with the factions that I dislike.

1. The Imamate of Oman

Purely for just annoying me and getting in my way every campaign I play, never a fun time tediously battling my way around the bottom of the Arabian gulf. There is just nothing attractive to me about them at all, I make sure to obliterate them every campaign as soon as I have the chance due to the amount of times they have annoyed me in the past. The thought of playing as them has never even crossed my mind due to my dislike of this faction.

2. The Seljuks

Because they dominate the middle of the map every single campaign. They disrupt the growth of Georgia, who I have never seen flourish even once in all this time. They make the game unplayable for me if I am Georgia. They always have a tonne of stacks in every direction. They are overpowered. And for this reason, I have not even once played as them in one of my campaigns.

3. The Mongols

Simply for being a total dissapointment. They are so much of a let down it is hard to express. They come, they conquer a few provinces then either make peace or get destroyed and disappear before they have done anything. I want to literally see them tearing across the map for a long long time before their expansion becomes unmanagable and they slowly crumble as surviving factions eat them up.


So, after thinking about which of the above three deserves my vote, I have decided I dislike the Omani faction the most.


*I believe I have included all the factions that are in the current build of BC and that all spellings and names et cetera are acceptable. Please kindly let me know if you spot any mistakes.*

Mainly the The Great Seljuks, like Jaytee said, they are way overpowerd.
Not only on the campaign map but also their archer units.
Their heavy horse archers have arrow_ha_uh (ultra high accuracy) and got 20 defence.

Then you have the border factions with little expansion possibilities.

The Kingdom of Makuria i dont like ugly african warriors they look like from 7-8century(textures & models are great i just dont like that tipe of army) also campaign are linear i always need to fight ayyubs then koj i hate them ,rather play ayyubs and crush makuria then inversely.

I also admit that the units are not very pretty compared to other factions. They don't where a lot of armour which mostly helps other units look visually pleasing but even so they could do with a touch up. Since they where lots of rag like clothing they could be made to look more detailed and have grimier clothing.

ERE - they seem to always take out the Turks and they seem overpowered to me.
Mongols - they are not much of a factor since they are always bankrupt and you just have to wait until they play themselfs out

Not always, but more often than not it is the Turks who eventually overcome the ERE in my experience.

i dont like them bodyguards & 1-2units look good remaining warriors look like drop behind 4century from the other factions. i dont use AOR in my games onley core units so if faction units are bad i dont play with them.Probably in BC3 will be more fun because 2new factions will be in neighbourhood

I don't wish to sound rude, but, what do these two sentences mean Mirni? I don't understand what the 'st' is meant to mean or refer to.

The Seljuks i guess, too easy, too many? Georgia also played them once and they have too little variety unitwise.

Hard to say what exactly repel me from India. Maybe the units design or maybe the fact that Indian factions are from totaly different culture and belongs to other world (like AuH world) in my eyes? Or maybe because I know nothing about them? Or maybe all above together? Seriously, I have no idea. In the contrary steppe factions are my favourite.

Well I cant vote due to too low post count but If I could I'd vote The Malikate of Sindh. *I haven't played all of the factions yet*

I did my first campaign with them and I just got sick of them, the area is largely rebel settlements so that means loads of siege battles and the fact they only have 1 mediocre heavy infantry unit and only javelin cavalry makes field & siege battles against the neighbouring countries suicide unless you have ~2-1 odds. Only option is Oman but that just opens up another dozen boring rebel settlements.

I loved my campaign with the Sindh. haha. That was until it decided to crash whenever I pressed 'end turn' I play on VH/VH and I never had any problems with even armies, it was never a 2-1 odds thing like you mentioned.

It's strange that that should be a turn off for you, as it has the opposite effect on me. Since they are so different playing as them appeals to me. What is 'AuH' which you refer to?

AUH is All Under Heaven, mod for Kingdoms, focused on Eastern Asia.

On the margin, I don't agree with Silesian that India belongs to different world - Indians and Muslims were fighting against each other for many centuries, and that's why Northern India is on BC map. But that's just diversity of opinions.

Thanks for letting me know. Now that you have told me I remember actually looking at that mod a while back.

I really like the way that you have the Islamic world in the centre with the Christian factions to the East and the Indian factions to the West of them, it offers a lot of choice.

Just out of interest, did you vote Wudang? And if so, who?
