    Default h/h arverni

that. i started this morning a new arverni campaing. results:

the diplomacy in H/H is unstable. i am in peace with some nations and they declare me war, or they declare war with themselves 1 turn after making alliances with me. for my luck, dacia , belgae and carthago striked very (very ery very) hard rome, so i was able to conquer their northern territories. then, i landed on the itallic peninsulae. and when i conquered rome, and i "depopulated" it, i got a ctd.
also nations are very weak! at year X, sparta was the richest. 2 years later it got destroyed, by macedonia.

    some reports:
my first walk into RS2. entertaining. and there are so many buildings

    first roman surrender! yay.

and they continue invading by north.

this is a "uh-oh" that broke my entire progress and made me risk my armies to conquer borders.

and the romans, as intelligent as always.

sparta is the richest. huzah! (i am ally)

that, one year later, was unexpected.

the arverni are very easy to control, and to expand. not many losses on the process of retaking 90% of gallia.

for the gold!. seriusly, why gergovia has 30.000 income at start and the rest of my towns are always on negative numbers?

and, finally, the start of the end for the roman empire zrg.

notice that i conquered spain. (and that my army at arretium is very near to the death).

It seems like it is too easy, especially the Romans look weak.

What about money? Do you have enough to build whatever you want, or do you have to restrain you?
What's the general feel of the campaign?

money is a pain on the ass. but if you are in peace, don't recruit troops. in 4 turns you will have 160.000 to spend in taxes and farming upgrades.

but yeah. if yo uare in war with frontier nations, i feel poor. buildings are very expensive for the gauls. need to be changed. it's surreal to pay 5,7,and 14k of gold for damn houses made of wood (free) and mud (free).

EVERYTHING economically has been multiplied with 3 so a building that cost 6000 actually costs 2000 in regard to the old settings. And just so you know, you also get 3x from taxes etc. so divide everything with 3 and you get the old settings.

About the Diplomatic AI, that can't be fixed. The diplomatic AI is hardcoded and those issues you encounted was included in the Vanilla Rome.

It may well be that the Arverni will need their own mod folder.

also, make sparta faction stronger. same for greeks. they just lost 100% of their terrain in the time it took for me to take only a part of gallia.

No need to make either stronger - usually they perform better than that - there is some variability between campaigns

    Sparta is OK.
Doesn't need to be stronger. But sad to hear they were...Sniff! destroyed.

very sad. they were giving me 50k income each turn.

well, the camapign is over. year 600 arrived, i conquered all western europe except asturica, that is now a client-state under my protectorate, and rome is retreated on sicilly and corsica.

    final report:

arvernii are very fun to play, but you need big loads of soldiers, and spend big loads on upkeep.

written report, as i swapped the folder to play_rome :

    regions controlled: 85
    battles won: 190
    battles lost: 56

    income: 290.000 (150.000 with taxes)
    expenditure: 230.0000 (200.0000 upkeep)

    profit: 60.0000

    most richest nation- gallia
    most advanced faction- macedonia
    most powerfoul nation- dacia
    most largest nation- gallia

not so bad for my first walk in the streets of RS2.

not many bugs, just some CTD glitches that i solved by don't doing what i should do, as expending 120k on recruiting units on the cities with spies inside.

Could you explain this better, please:

there is a CTD, (no longer), that made my game break when a faction sended diplomats to a dacian city. now this bug is no more, but i always solved it by either makign alliance with the dacians or by sending armies into dacian lands. lots of them. withotu attacking.

I think this is fixed now... it seems to have been to do with trying to use shadow factions
