missing in game units.. in army staff college?

playing as Spain.. (year 1754)

When u right click on [research and technology] under army staff college.. the last army barracks

says u can recruit up to 9 units..

that is..
[ line infantry ,carabinners, general's body guard,cazadores,republican guard ,cuirassiers , grenadiers ,
, regiment of horse and light dragons ].. i can recruit all of them as the info told.. but..

but when u check on [research and technology] right click abit above of the college .. on the technology required.. to build the army staff.
{platton firing -> then army staff college } shows about 6-7 *more units*.. that i can't recruit in game..
and dont know where they are..

some of the missing units are very good ones.. like { Guardias de infanteria ,Company infantry ,sepoys ,
, Guardias de corps ,Frontiersmen , company calvary and native african infantry} albeit the last one can be recruit with a general on the campaign outside the city..

can anyone explain me how i can get all the missing units. some of them are elites ?
they show up in research and technology tree .. under platton firing.

Sounds like some of these (Like Sepoys) Are colonial units, as in they can only be recruited in specific areas.

Company Calvary for example is a India only unit.

some might also be only avaible if you are the right kind of governement.

Yes, if you are a Republic you will not be able to create many of the guard units.

changed my goverment to C_ Monarchi and absolute monarchi after that and no luck...
still all those extra units are missing in game.. even when i have all the buildings done..

any ideas?

Guardias de infanteria , Guardias de corps ,Frontiersmen , for example.. cant recruit those..

Guardias de infanteria , Guardias de corps ,Frontiersmen , for example.. cant recruit those..

Infanteria and de Corps should be recruitable in Spain...I think they're only available in Spain. I'm not sure why you can't recruit them it might be because of your govt type. I play as Spain and can recruit them both, but I stay as an Absolute Monarchy.

Frontiersman are only available in the Americas (Hispaniola, Mexico and Florida...IIRC). They roughly have the same stats as the guerillas you can recruit in Spain.

I have the DLC units of the west, and playing as UP. I'm still a republic, so will that mean that i won't be able to recruit Garde du corps? Because now i'm building the Army staff college in Amsterdam, the picture of guard du corps has dissapeared in the "able to recruit" information panel".

Yes, since Guard units for all factions are associated with the King (or Queen) you can only recruit them in an Absolute Monarchy. I'm not sure about C. Monarchy though.

Well i tried, and i got Currasiers and gards du corps as a constitutional monarchy with UP.

A bit of a shame you get that stupid flag, because the netherlands today are a CM, and they still have the "republic" flag

Some of these depend on location, and others on government type. Sepoys and company infantry and company cavalry can only be recruited in India, frontiersmen only in the Americas, African Infantry only in Africa and the two guards depend on government type (not sure which one you need).
