Problem!!!
Love EB!!!! I tried Rome Total Realism but it doesn't compare to EB at all. Any way here is the problem:
My PC crash when playing EB. I notice that EB makes my cpu run hot so I think that might be part of the problem. I am currently running Vista 32. Should I upgrade to Vista 64? Would that help? I have 4gb of Ram, G-force 8800gts, 250 gb HD. I play on a 32 in flatscreed LCD. Please help. Should I upgrade my Ram?

Re: Problem!!!
I play just fine on half that amount of RAM with all the settings to the highest and large unit scales. What's your processor speed?

Re: Problem!!!
You definetly have a strong enough computer, so your problems must lay somwhere alse. I run EB on a 3 year old laptop, and it never crashes.
Please explain where and how your crashes happen

Re: Problem!!!
I ran EB on a then 8 year old computer; 2.4 GHz processor, 512MB RAM.
It worked perfectly... until both my video card and motherbord died of old age.
It could be a problem with the RTW.exe and your dual core processor. I heard there were troubles with that.

Re: Problem!!!
Please tell on which occasions the crash occurs. How to ask for help with a crash can be a guide for you.

Re: Problem!!!
It crashes after playing a while. From half hour to longer. Beginning and After a battle or after pressing NEXT TURN. It also makes my cpu temp run high in the 70's.I notice after a crash the temp goes down to the 60's. I have a gaming system unit with many fans and my MB temp is a steady 32 degrees. Don't understand why this game makes cpu so hot. Also have cpu fan.

Re: Problem!!!
EB is a heavy game, no question. If you have CTD's before a battle you should apply the sprites fix for 1.2 (see the link in my sig), if they occur after a battle waiting for 20-30 seconds is the first choice. If it crashes in AI turns, in most of the times is a rebellious CTD the reason. If it becomes repeatable see the section in the frequent issues about getting around CTD's.
