    Icon5 FPS??

    I've heard a lot of people talk about something called FPS. What on Earth is FPS? It's got something to do with graphics, that much I know.

    It means how fast the screen refreshes. btw, the human eye can't detect faster than 32fps, I think I read somewhere. So personally, I don't see any reason to upgrade as long as my computer can get around 40 fps.

    Refresh rate and FPS are not the same.

    That's actually not true, above 30-40 FPS games look fluid (almost no visible stuttering) but that doesn't mean your eyes cannot see or benefit from higher FPS. See here
