    Default A few irritating problems

Here are a few minor and irritating problems with my computer that I was wondering if somebody knew how to fix.

This first one started happening like a month ago. These little small boxes are around all of my computer desktop icons. They are not around Firefox, Openofficer, Hulu, Adobe Reader, and Recycle Bin, though. Not sure how they got there.

The most irritating is this one. Every time I press Caps Lock, Num Lock, or some other key I don't know, a small rectangular box shows up the in the bottom right hand side of my screen. It shows an icon for the three buttons, with a small gray line under the icon. When you have the item turned on, it turns green to show you, then the rectangle disappears. What annoys me is everything I press or accidentally press one of the buttons, it downsizes whatever I am doing. This is irritating when I am in the middle of a game.

And lastly, my clock is messed up. I'll set the time to the correct time, then a few days later, it will start falling behind by several minutes. After a bit over a week, it will be 15-25 minutes behind.

If you have any fixes to these, please let me know. Thanks.

the clock could be your cmos battery, but it would not work at all and every time you would have to set the clock

now reinstall the damn thing, as it appears you have a desktop not a notebook, and since there is no reason to believe that those highlights are a crapware from your OEM, than the option is you might have fiddled with some software that disrupt, the guess would be malware all the way

Actually it very well might be.

I would re-install windows personally. It would fix your problem and make your computer as fast as it was when it was brand new.

^ Yes, reformatting and reinstalling windows is like the answer to any, and every software related issue, infact is the quickest and easiest way to fix alot of things.

If you don't feel like that... Hit ctrl+shift+esc click processes tab, look for anything unusual, if you dont know what to look for post some screen-shots of it and ill happily look over the list and tell you if anything dodgy is there.
