    Mr.Argon the error log didn't help. Can you upload a save file before the crash so I can examine it.

    Ok I have deleted that saved file. However, I have started a new Renaissance campaign and if it crashes I’ll post both the log and the saved file.

    Here is a saved game and a log. This saved game has crashed many times. It never seems to crash on the next turn if you play it again after it crashes a first time. I played it 5-12 turns and then it crashed again on me. This happens while playing with different factions too. When you go to test it it may not crash on the next turn. You may have to play it away before it will crash again. Also it crashes around the year of 1336 a lot. The only reason I can think of why it crashes like this is becuase the AI factions don't always do the same things on the same turn if you end the game and then restart it from that turn. It's like the AI thinks that a different path to victory is correct one time and then if you reset it, it comes up with sometimes another plan.

    While playing 1400 campaign, I am having siege of some city and when I wanted to go to battle map I have CTD. It just doesn't load.

    I was using these units: Serbian Archers, Balkan Dismounted Vitezovi, Gradukmeti, Strelci Opulchenie, Serbian Vlastelcici, Bulgarian Brigands, Slav Levies, Balkan Vitezovi, Baltic Mercenary Spearmen, Adriatic Spearmen.
    They were using: Family Memeber and Baltic Mercenary Spearmen.

    The error seems to be from a character getting an epithet. I'm guessing this is probably a problem with the Indian faction because most of their characters don't have names (I gave them names from another faction). I've fixed this in the patch below, though it's not save game compatible.

    The mod seems to crash after a merchant gets a trait but I'm not sure why. Though I did notice that the Egyptian faction heir doesn't have a name (it was entered into the names.txt wrongly). This has also been fixed in the patch.

    According to the system log it can't find an ancillary image. Though the missing ancillaries aren't ones my mod uses. I've uploaded the ancillaries to the patch as well.


    To install this patch download the conquest patch.rar attached to this post, unpack it, and put all the folders in the mods\conquest\data folder (default location 'C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\conquest\data').

    thanks for the new bat files and now i can launch the game, but when i use the patch i can't launch the game anymore, then it says someting about "shared.text:{GERR_GENERIC}...don't really understand that stuff. Version 2.1 offcourse and patch 2.1. Already reinstalled 3 times, always same fault/message that appears.

    I did what what you instructed me, it loads more time than before, but it still crashes.

    I cant play this game, I downloaded 2.1 patch, empires, true conquest(I put in sega/medieval 2 total war) and the bat files. I always get shared.txt:{GERR_GENERIC}, I use windows 7 uac off.

    Same problem as i had. 2 options when downloading:
    1) 2.0 + patch 2.1
    2)2.1 full + DO NOT INSTALL PATCH

    SO, do not install 2.1full and overwrite with patch 2.1......then you get that shared.txt:{GERR_GENERIC} message.

    What i post here was just my experience....i hope it helps you

    in my 970 campaign map Holy Roman Empire has been destroyed in the first turn always.
    what is the problem?

    The HRE, like Venice, does not have a family tree. In the 1.3 version of Kingdoms there was a bug that meant that when the faction leader of a faction without a family tree died the faction was destroyed. This was fixed in the 1.5 version of Kingdoms. The best way to fix this problem is to update your version of Kingdoms to the 1.5 version. Various 1.5 versions are available in the downloads thread.

    first of all: good job on such an excellent mod!

    However I do experience a rather annoying bug that happens pritty much every turn.

    Everytime I play new age or renaisance the game kicks me out after clicking on a unit to view their description. In general when I click to view the description nothing happens, but once every while the game kicks me. It does happen pritty much every turn tho. i kinda click to view the desc 5-10 times per turn.

    I reinstalled med2 kingdoms (only teutonic) and installed the 2.1 version of Eras. I have no problems playing on the world campaign, other then the slow loading becaus eof the massive number of armies.

    Edit: It just happened during my world campaign aswell. I think it has something to do with european factions, since I did not have any problems with japan, thailand and tibet. So far the factions where this problem appeared was Papal states and the Byzantium empire.

    Not why this happened. Battle crashes are hard to diagnose because the error log doesn't record what happens in a battle. I'll test it out and see if I can cause the crash.

    I have the same problem with being kicked out after reading a description but haven't been able to determine why. It seems that some units, such as Feudal Knights, are more likely to cause a crash than others but the reason for this is unknown.
