Population

Does the population increase if so how do you make it faster? The gauls continue to attack my borders and im running out of troops and not to mention Im going to need as many troops I can get to continue my invasion of Carthage/Spain.

Build farms and sewers and most important check population bonuses on buildings, most foreign buildings give negative pop growth, destroy these or upgrade to roman ones, esp temples!

I have farms and sewers up and destoryed negative buildings but still cant get enough population for another legion. It seems to be impossible for me to get my military built up to counter there constent attacks. Seems like for every Army I build they have three made. Im guessing there populatiion has no problem.

you can also use population relocation. You more southern cities are probably growing fairly well. Recruit peasants and send a full stack or whatever to the cities that are becoming depopulated. Then disband them in those cities. That will give them an instant boost. I will also suggest recuiting another legion to defend the border, the gauls will attack less if you have more troops along the border.

If you assign one city to support one legion, this shouldn't be a problem. You have to be responsible when recruiting and not recruit everything from just a few cities.

How many armies do you have and on what difficulty are you playing?

I am playing on M/M and I say I have probably have about 5 armys all protecting my border. Down south in Carthage I rarley have any problem with population but its italy thats the only problem.
