autoresolving battles

I just started playing ETW and I am trying to play the final episode of RTI on hard difficulty while autoresolving all the battles so I can get a hang of the game. However, I get trounced when I do this. Is it possible to win at this level without fighting the battles manually? The normal level is a little too easy.

autoresolving is the AI's secret weapon. If you do actually win its a Pyrrhic victory, or at least in my experiance.

It generally seems to be luck of the dice. I did an autoresolve of a battle that I took heavy casualties when I commanded it the first time around. With an autoresolve, I wiped them out without losing a single unit, compared to when I controlled it.

In my experience, you better off fighting youw own battles, since you otherwise lose (too) many men.

Man, once there was a glitch in my R:TW(it AIN'T PIRATED!!!).As a result, my autoresolved battles are ALL retarded. Man, I played 2 years of pure autoresolve and it sucked like
