What does the "One Ring" do?

There's a submod around here that adds a lot of scripts revolving around it.

In vanilla all else it does is give you gollum as an ancillary.

In vanilla it doesn't (yet). In 1.5 I believe the ring will have a bigger part to play. In this submod however it is of big importance.

Probably the one ring script will only be included in the new fellowship campaign.

The ring in vanilla is very boring - it does nothing and is not important at all. However the One Ring Submod adds a ton of cool features (you get new events, armies and can destroy it in Mt Doom). However, its not for RR/RC so i havnt used it for ages.
