    Default Future campaigns

Now that the 2.0 version of this mod has been released other than bug fixes I probably won't release any more campaigns without help. Below is a list of campaigns I could make and the help I'd need. I you have any other ideas feel free to post them.

    Imjin war

The Imjin war was a series of attempts by Japan to invade Korea at the end of the 16th century. Korea was able to remain independent because their navy was able to defeat the Japanese navy and prevent them resupplying their armies. China also sent some help to Korea.

Factions: Japan verses Korea and China
Help: mapper. I already have units and banners so I just need a mapper to make a map.

    Shogun 2 Total War

Set during the sengoku period when various Japanese Clans fought each other to try and control all of Japan.

Factions: various Japanese clans (depends when the mod starts)
Help: mapper, skinner, and 2d artist. I need a new map, a skinner to make new skins for each faction (so every faction doesn't have identical units), and a 2d artist to make new banners and faction symbols.

    1620

This mod will be similar to the 1547 campaign but with units from the 17th century.

Factions: depend when the mod starts
Help: modeller + skinner, 2d artist. I'll need a modeller and skinner to make new units (unless I can use the 'For King and Country' units, then I'll just need to reskin them). I'll also need to make some new banners if I add new factions.

    4 Khanates

This campaign will be set in 1331 and will cover all of Eurasia and Africa (the map will be like the 1547 campaign but without the Americas). I chose this time because I have a campaign that starts at this time so I won't need to do as much research and the 4 Mongol Khanates (Il Khanate, Golden Horde, Chagatai Khanate, and Yuan Dynasty) still exist so it will reduce the number of factions I'll need.

Factions: similar to the 1331 campaign.

Help: modeller + skinner, 2d artist. I'll need a modeller and skinner to make new units (I'll need some Yuan / Song units for China because I can't use the Ming units). I'll also need to make some new banners. Making this campaign would be easier if I could use the units from 'All Under the Heaven' but I doubt they'll let me use them before their mod is released.
Morning Sun (adds Korea and China to the Shogun 2 map)

Expanded Japan mod (97 new regions and 101 new factions)

How to split a region in TWS2

Eras Total Conquest 2.3 (12 campaigns from 970-1547)

I'd like to see the 4 Khanates Mod. What about a "Rise of Genghiz Khan" mod with the struggles of uniting the various clans into the great Horde? Naimans, Merkits, Onguts, Keraits, etc. vs. Mongols led by Temujin! That would be epic!

    I want Shogun 2!!

first suggestions, you should use the portraits from Nobunaga's Ambition (i know youre using Romance of the 3 kingdoms portraits for Asian faction) and adding the battle music from Samurai Warriors or Sengoku Basara.

I would be interested to see a Imjin war one, though I fear the degree of crap we need to dig through, as there is plenty of misconceptions on all the sides on what their armies were actually like. And much of the modern nationalistic crazies (most notablly Koreans) and also some samurai crazies (I'm looking at you Mr Turnbull) have put a real mess into the whole situation.

Though I do suppose the N:TW engine would be MUCH more suited for this one then any of the previous engine (since in this war, only the Koreans were really able to "produce" units, and they did it at a terribbly slow pace)

If you ever do hope to go down the Imjin path though, I could help you with some of the research, I have personally read through a good deal of the first hand sources (aka, the letters and court dialogs of the days, not just what Stephan Turnbull tells you.) on the Josen / Ming side.

or how about merging the Shogun2 and Imjin? starting with japan map on 1560 (the time nobunaga rise to power),then on 1592, the map expands to korea and china and (or until india just like hideyoshi's dream off?) mark the bginning of imjin war?

I personally think that's just pointless, in the war Japan was relatively unified, and both China and Japan had different reasons for them to not being able to send that much reinforcement. for example, in the first war, the Chinese crossed in very late 1592 with 36,000, by mid 1593 they were about to force the Japanese into talks and their total troop strength had been reinforced up to.... 43,000 . not exactly a wooooping reinforcment . in the second war, again, the bulk of the Ming troops arrived in one wave. and there was very little additional reinforcements after that.

The relatively concentrated nature of the time period also would make the standard MTW style campaign silly, since those were designed with several 100 years in mind, where as the Imjin war 's two campaign was concentrated within the timeframe of a little more than a year each. it's absurd to be able to train up tens of thousands of men within that sort of timeframe and then ship them over vast distance. so something like the America's campaign set up would make more sense. where the Ming and Japanese could both only get additional troops via shipping (or in the Ming's case. walking) after certain conditions were met etc... and the Korean would have a limited capacity to recruit new troops. but the Ming and Japanese would almost certainly be fighting almost entirely with what they started out with.

Japan's biggest restriction in terms of further reinforcements probably have to do with the sea. where they were getting dominated by Yi Sun-Sin's korean navy. which made further reinforcements highly risky, combined with their spread out lines getting badly harrased by Korean insurgents. (especially serious inthe first war) . it meant they simply can't get more men over.

The Ming had similar problems, though not quiet as extreme, in that the Korean land was already messed up when they arrived and the government had effectively cease to function, which meant that while the locals were certainly far more friendly to them they were still not quiet capapble of providing much supplies to them. not to meantion the Ming still had many other defensive concerns so it's not like they would just pull out armies at will and they were still only reluctant when it comes to hiring proffessional soldiers.

Aww, so no one wants to see the 1620 mod? That would be my choice seeing as Shogun 2 is already coming out and the other ones see way too small in comparison to the 1547 map. Also more guns=good in my book!

Early dark age times - Charlamagne's time period would be awesome... a focus on only Europe and Northern Europe, a few factions would be the Frankish Empire, Danish Vikings, Norse Vikings, Ancient Rus', Polish Tribes, etc etc.

For the 1331 campaign, is that when the Red Turban Rebellion started it movement to drive out the Yuan? Because that would be a very interesting period with lots of warlord within China struggling for power.
