Favorite faction in EB

What's your favorite faction in EB?
Also, why were the Celtiberians left out in the game? Is it because they became a dominant culture in the region much later than the starting period of the game?

The faction slots were limited. Any factions that happened to be left out are included as Eleutheroi and may have big armies spawned when invaded.

My favorite faction are the Romans. A full Roman legion with auxiliaries looks so cool!

The mighty poleis of Hellas and their Koinon. Though the Getai are by far my favorite "barbarian" faction.

The Romani are pretty cool, especially with the auxilia. I also enjoy Carthage and the KH(Spartans and thracian peltastas ftw). I find the pike armies quite retarded.

Koinon Hellenon! I love their infantry generals and it´s always nice to play a faction which includes Sparta (the symbol of military skill) and Athens (the symbol of intellectual prowess)

The thing about EB is that every faction presents a different form of play, so its difficult to pick a favorite, but if I had to chose, I would go with the lusotannan, I really like their light infantry, they can really hold their own, even against elite.

Pretty hard to choose, so many factions that I like.

A contest between Epirus and Arche Seleukeia for the first spot but really every faction and its campaign is enjoyable for me. I would rather ask if anyone dislikes any specific faction or its campaign.

Arche Seleukeia for me, I like the challenge of holding on to a huge crumbling empire and rebuilding it.
But the Pahlava Cataphract Archers are pretty cool to have in your army!

Macedon - as you can use both the disciplined phalanxes of Philip and Alexander and also the barbarian troops of their vassals kingdoms to the north of Macedon - nothing like letting your enemy wear themselves to breaking point on your Argyraspides then charging your Thraikioi Rhomphaiaphoroi flow through your ranks to massacre and rout your foes or charging your foes flanks or rear with the Hetairoi!

But I do quite like the Romani and the Casse, but Macedon is by far my favourite and best suited to my playing style

Agreed.

I find Makedon to be the best faction, as it has strong and able phalanxes, as well as punishing cavalry, not to mention a decent starting position.

Rome, not only do I find its armies extremely fun (focusing on infantry, with supporting auxilarries and such), but also the satisfaction of conquering massive swathes of lands, and watching at them, as they slowly become fully romanized provinces (Especially once the Roman governor building replaces the old one and the entire city's view changes on the campaign map).

Pahlava is definately my second most favourite faction, due to its awesome horse armies, and due to the fact that Rome finally met its match fighting the pahlava, Third place goes to Arverni (cant argue with a god king whos awesome regardless of what he does leading a strong army of gauls), fourth place goes to eitheir macedon or Baktria, but Ive yet to decide which.
