Yeah, I think tribal Arabs are important regional units so we've made room for at least four types. For these units, our research is really preliminary so some help on names and troops types would be useful. I think there should at least be Cavalry, Spear armed infantry, and some skirmishers and/or missile troops.

At this point we have been using a naming convention like this: Khayalet al Badw, Rumat al Badw, etc. But if you have better suggestions, please let us know.

By "average", do you mean generic? If so, that is kind of the point since we need to have only a few units represent all the tribes. Or did you mean "average" as in "okay, but could be better"?

New and creative is good, but we're more concerned about whether its correct and historically accurate tbh.

Khayalet al Badw, Rumat al Badw, these are average to us, call them tribes like khayalet suleem. I will help you with it.
What is suleem in English? Or is it the name of a tribe?
A new mobile phone tower went up in a town in the USA, and the local newspaper asked a number of people what they thought of it. Some said they noticed their cellphone reception was better. Some said they noticed the tower was affecting their health.

A local administrator was asked to comment. He nodded sagely, and said simply: "Wow. And think about how much more pronounced these effects will be once the tower is actually operational."

Yes, the problem is that we can only have so many units. We can only have, say, one unit of tribal Outremer bowmen, so we can't call them 'Suleem bowmen' if they have to apply to the Egyptians, Turks, Syrians and Seljuqs, if you see what i mean.

For example: if there were a limit of four tribal units for Anatolia:

We could have 'X Tribe bowmen, 'Y tribe Bowmen, 'Z tribe bowmen, 'X tribe horse archers'.

But that would only allow us 2 types of units. What we want to do is have as much variety as possible, so instead of saying 'X tribe', we would do:

'Turcoman bowmen', 'Turcoman horse archers, 'Turcoman infantry, 'Turcopole horse archers'.

This allows more units. Plus, what if we had to have Arab tribal cavalry for the Seljuqs, Syrians and Egyptians. We can only have one type of unit called 'Arab tribal cavalry'. So it is unlikely that in history, every Tribal cavalryman serving under these came from the same tribe.
