HELP PLEASE

Ok I just started playing this with the mod but I cant beat Hannibal or the other General. I tried everything even the 15 turn steps. But he still breaks thru my lines with his elephants and my infantry retreats all the time.
Please help me.

Make sure you're playing on M/M difficulty settings:

Have your Velites save their ammo (do not enable "fire at will"). They are crucial when taking down them darn elephants. Focus fire on the closest unit of elephants once they start approaching your formation and when enough are killed they will "run amok", then switch to the next, etc. Just make sure you don't run your velites out of cover from your infantry otherwise they will get slaughtered by the enemy cavalry, at the least. It is a pain with the elephants... consider them your first challenge 'cause after those comes the multiple elephant stacks (armored and unarmored) that Carthage will surely send (yikes!). I fought against at least 5 or 7 units in "one army" when I started my invasion of Africa. I thought I was dead for sure. Lol.

Yeah, this mod is designed specifically for M/M settings. You don't have to play by the house rules, but it's more rewarding / challenging that way. Good luck!
