I am looking for some specific mods, please help.
After trying roma surrectum recently and having played with darth mod some years in the past and now having played vanilla for a few weeks, I have been thinking about the stuff I really want in a mod.
Pretty much any mod removes units such as gladiators and Arcani which I personly am quite fond of, most mods also turn egypt into a mostly greek faction which is more accurate but I still prefer the inaccurate egyptian egypt of vanilla.
I dont care much for larger maps, tougher battles and all that. Vanilla battles are just fine for me, it doesnt need to be a big challenge. I create my own challenges since I favor smaller armies.
But Vanilla is not without its flaws still. In the past few weeks I did grow to appreciate the vanilla game a lot more still.
For some factions the colors could be tuned down a little, I dont mind green brutii but would prefer them in a less bright green color. All roman factions in red would remove some of the unique part of each faction.
Parthia is of course a joke with their bright pink, so I wouldnt mind that being changed to something very different.
There are three things that I am looking for:
-Reskins/new models.
-Extra Units.
-fixes for vanilla flaws (could be part of a reskin)
There are a few flaws here and there, the most irritating one being a colored seam running down the middle of many soldiers. A skincolored seam seems to appear at the back of many units as well at a close zoom level.
As for extra units, most additions are welcome if it all fits in but there are also a few specific units I am looking for:
-Archers for Carthage
-Swordsmen for the Greeks, Macedon and perhaps Seleucids as well.
-Briton cavalry that doesnt use a chariot.
I tried giving Carthage the same archers as the Numidians but they lacked a unit card and I have looked online a bit to find out where I could find this to make an edited copy of the Numidian version but couldnt find any info on it.
Some small changes in editing files I can handle, I changed barbarian general battle models to captain models for example, and also turned several phalanx units in a normal spear unit by removing the phalanx ability, appearantly it automaticly equips them with shorter spears then.
I also have Barbarian Invasion installed so dont mind increased levels of barbarian cities (possibly to support new units), recruitable generals and other such features from barbarian invasion.
I am not looking for any large overhauls and such, just the minor things I mentioned.

Why not mod them yourself? All of the changes you ask can be found in other mods. Making the colors less bright can be done by using horse_archer's lighting mod. Just pick and choose and make your own perfect mod
Be warned though, once you got the hang of modding, you might find it more fun than playing!

Any mod suggestions?
The colors could be changed with that mod I bet, but I cant make new units.

The changes you've asked for are so minor that no one would have made a mod that specific. Take Wles advice and make your own changes, or look through the released mod forum for some smaller mods.

Can new models, unit cards and such be put to use easily? I saw quite some standalone skins around I think.

It's easy once you know how but takes awhile to get your head around the process.

If it requires editing of a lot of files I rather not bother. two or three files I might be able to handle.
